This section is about the movies which I loved over the years. Just summarizing the movie story and few personal moments and memories along with it. Sit back and have a good read and decide which ones to watch on your binge watching weekends.

Tamasha is about finding your true self. It begins with Tara (Deepika Padukone) being g on a vacation in Corsica. Ranbir Kapoor plays Ved, a guy who is stuck in a boring job but secretly wants to be a storyteller. The film shows how he loses himself trying to fit into societyโ€™s expectations and how love helps him realize who he really is. I liked how honest and real it felt. The songs are amazing too. It made me think about how often people hide their real passions just to do whatโ€™s โ€œnormal.โ€

It's true when elders say they don't make movies like this anymore. Veer brought alive on screen by SRK's magic and Preity Zinta's elegance as Zaara and the film story directed and produced by father son duo late Mr. Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra. It was released in India 20 years ago and is essentially a love story of two strangers from different countries who cross paths and fall in love and then apart only to end up together 22 years later (reunited by a young lawyer played by Rani Mukherjee, Aditya Chopra's wife)

I remember watching the movie as a child thinking 'This must be what true love feels like.' Veer Zaara captures religions, respectful professions, politics and family drama and a climax accident and police case. Everything from the beautiful locations, dialogues, screen presence, the old SRK and Preity aka Veer and Zaara and songs and styling feels fresh to watch even today.

If you are lucky to find a love like this to spend a lifetime with, keep it closer. 'Do Pal Ruka Khwabon Ka Karvaan Aur Phir Chal Diye Tum Kahaan, Hum Kahaan' holds still true in current generation.

Go on a trip now to some place with fields and ropeway adventure to find your Veer to serenade with 'Main yahaa hu yahaa' while you goof around wearing a salwar. Okbye.

When Karan Johar is launching new comers and directing the movie as wel, you know it's going to be a good watch. This scene is classic bollywood magic. Student of the Year is all about style, fun, and drama. Itโ€™s set in a rich, fancy school where students are competing to be the best. Thereโ€™s a love triangle, lots of songs, and everything and everyone looks almost too perfect. I didnโ€™t watch it for the story as much as for the fun, light entertainment of it. Not deep, but enjoyable when you're in the mood for something easy.

The glossy setting reminds me of my many firsts, from wearing a lehenga for the first time to winning a trophy in junior school. The Indian girl in me has a crush on Rohan played by Varun Dhawan while sympathizing with Abhimanya  (Siddharth Malhotra) and dreaming of a closet and style like Shanaya (Alia Bhatt) in their simple love story.

Om Shanti Om, released in 2007 is a mix of drama, comedy, romance, and actionโ€”all with a Bollywood twist. It starts in the 1970s and then jumps to the present, with Shah Rukh Khan playing two different versions of the same soul. It is now female superstar Deepika Padukone's debut film as well. The movie has everythingโ€”songs, reincarnation, revenge, and even a big dance number with a ton of Bollywood stars. It doesnโ€™t take itself too seriously, and thatโ€™s what makes it fun. Itโ€™s full of typical Bollywood moments, but in a way that celebrates them.
